Irma Amado Griffin, CHS class of 1971 and faculty for over 30 years as the 
     Fine Arts Department Chair and Dance Director, passed away on May 18, 2016.

     We lost our much-loved (CHS 1962-1989) Drama and Speech Teacher, Jim
     Newcomer (1936-2016), on April 2, 2016.  Several of his former students are
     spearheading the monumental undertaking of his memorial service.  It is
     scheduled for Friday, May 13, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at the Eugene L. Hanson
     Auditorium at Coronado High School, where he will be center stage for the last
     time. Final details are pending and will be posted when finalized.  R.I.P. Jim!
